International call for Gaza truce (while US cheers on the slaughter)

Foreign ministers from the European Union and the Middle East Quartet have called for a ceasefire in Gaza.

France’s Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said Israel and Hamas should end hostilities permanently, after EU ministers met in Paris.

Meanwhile a UN spokeswoman quoted officials from the quartet as calling for an immediate truce.

Palestinian officials say more than 360 people have been killed in Israeli military strikes since Saturday.

Four Israelis have also been killed, by rockets fired into Israel by Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.

FOLLOW UP: Gaza relief boat ‘rammed’ by Israeli vessel (Virtous Israel and its Dignity)

An Israeli patrol boat struck a boat carrying medical volunteers and supplies to Gaza early Tuesday as it attempted to intercept the vessel in the Mediterranean Sea, witnesses and Israeli officials said.
The Dignity arrives in Tyre, Lebanon, after it was reportedly rammed by an Israeli military vessel Tuesday.

CNN Correspondent Karl Penhaul was aboard the 60-foot, Gibraltar-registered pleasure boat Dignity when the contact occurred. When the boat later docked in the Lebanese port city of Tyre, severe damage was visible to the forward port side of the boat, and the front left window and part of the roof had collapsed.

The Dignity was carrying 16 passengers and crew who were trying to reach Gaza through an Israeli blockade of the territory.

The captain of the Dignity said the Israelis broadcast a radio message accusing the vessel of being involved in terrorist activity. But Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor denied that and said the radio message simply warned the vessel not to proceed to Gaza because it is a closed military area.

Palmor said there was no response to the radio message, and the vessel then tried to out-maneuver the Israeli patrol boat, leading to the collision. Video Watch Penhaul describe the boat damage »

Penhaul said at least two Israeli patrol boats had shadowed the Dignity for about half an hour before the collision, moving around the vessel on all sides. One of the patrol boats then shined its spotlight on the Dignity while the other, with its lights off, “very severely rammed” the boat.

The captain of the Dignity told Penhaul he received no prior warning. Only after the collision did the Israelis come on the radio to say they struck the boat because they believed it was involved in terrorist activities.

The captain and crew said their vessel was struck intentionally, Penhaul said, but Palmor called those allegations “absurd.”

“There is no intention on the part of the Israeli navy to ram anybody,” Palmor said.

The incident occurred in international waters about 90 miles off Gaza. Israel controls the waters off Gaza’s coast and routinely blocks ships from coming into the Palestinian territory as part of an ongoing blockade that also applies to the Israel-Gaza border. Human rights groups have expressed concern about the blockade on Gaza, which has restricted the delivery of emergency aid and fuel supplies.

The collision was so severe, Penhaul said, that the passengers were ordered to put on their life vests and be ready to get in lifeboats. The Dignity began taking on water but the crew managed to pump it out of the hull long enough for the boat to reach shore.

Palmor said the vessel refused assistance after the incident.

The boat was carrying boxes of relief supplies, volunteers and journalists to Gaza, the Palestinian territory now subject to an intense Israeli bombing campaign. Among the passengers were physicians from Britain, Germany and Cyprus and several human rights activists, including former U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney.

“I would call it ramming. Let’s just call it as it is,” McKinney said. “Our boat was rammed three times, twice in the front and one on the side. Video Watch Cynthia McKinney discuss the collision »

“Our mission was a peaceful mission, but our mission was thwarted by the Israelis, the aggressiveness of the Israeli military.”

Israel launched airstrikes against Gaza on Saturday in what Defense Minister Ehud Barak called an “all-out war” against the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which has ruled the territory since 2007.

URGENT! Israeli Navy Attacking Civilian Mercy Ship!

The Dignity, a Free Gaza boat on a mission of mercy to besieged Gaza, is being attacked by the Israeli Navy in international waters. The Dignity has been surrounded by at least half-a-dozen Israeli warships. They are firing live ammunition around the Dignity, and one of the warships has rammed the civilian craft causing an unknown amount of damage. Contrary to international maritime law, the Israelis are actively preventing the Dignity from approaching Gaza or finding safe haven in either Egypt or Lebanon. Instead, the Israeli navy is demanding that the Dignity return to Cyprus – despite the fact that the ship does not carry enough fuel to do so. Fortunately, no one aboard the ship has yet been seriously injured.

There are 15 civilian passengers representing 11 different countries. At approximately 5am (UST), well out in international waters, Israeli warships began surrounding the Dignity, threatening the ship. At 6:45am (UST) we were able to establish brief contact with the crew and were told that the ship had been rammed by the Israeli Navy in international waters, and that the Israelis were preventing the ship from finding safe harbor. We heard heavy gunfire in the background before all contact was lost with the Dignity.

It is urgent that you TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION!

And here´s a christian zionistic prayer for Israeli onslaughter… oh sorry, “goal accomplishment” (same thing same hatred)

…We are grateful that so far the governments of Britain and the United States have swum against the tide and officially leveled their criticism against Hamas and not Israel. In the Second Lebanon War, the U.S. sought to give Israel “space” to accomplish her objectives. At the time, our leadership was woefully inept and we were unprepared and came nowhere near accomplishing that goal. This time the goal is putting a stop to Hamas rocket attacks in our south. This simply must be accomplished.

PLEASE PRAY:

*That the LORD of Armies, the God who Arrays Israel for Battle (YHVH Tzeva’ot, Elohei-Ma’arhot Yisrael-I Samuel 17:45), will oversee the leaders of Israel’s army so as to array themselves in a way to bring a stop to the continual attacks against her people.

*That intelligence reports would be sharp and clear and accurate-that the perpetrators of this violence would be exposed and stopped with as few casualties as possible among innocent civilians.

*There has been intense and increased persecution against Arab Christians in the Strip in the past two years. Pray that Muslims in the Strip would realize that their god cannot save them and would cry out to the God of Heaven that He would send forth His angels to protect those ‘who will inherit salvation’ (Hebrews 1:14).

*That Believing Soldiers in the Israel Defense Force would be held near to their God and Leader during this conflict-showing themselves as good soldiers and a testimony to those around them of courage, efficiency, clarity of mind, and, whenever possible, showing mercy.

*That Israel’s leaders civilian and military will receive courage and insight from the Most High-that they will not be intimidated by the threats of world-opinion, but would do what is needed in carrying out their charge to oversee and protect their people.

*That there will be a good infrastructure of communication and accurate intelligence flow in Israel’s forces.

*That the communication of those who have risen up in violence against Israel to harass and destroy her would be thrown into confusion. Hamas has called for a “Third Intifada”. We sincerely believe that the last one (which resulted in the hundreds of deaths through suicide-bombings) came to an end because of a breakdown of communication in the spiritual realm brought about through the intercession of God’s people.

*That God would in His mercy release a Spirit of Truth into the mass of lies and errant religious posturing which blinds much of the Church to the Truth regarding Israel. There is coming a darkness when those who are not taught of God may find themselves on the side of that darkness because of the delusion they have accepted regarding this land and people.
